I'm about to buy a MacBook and I was wondering if Adobe will let me install LightRoom and PS CS3 on it if I already have the software on my MacPro without buying another license? I know they used to let you put it on your laptop also.
well, hopefully they also follow fairly common practice and have an emergency registration available (in case of hardware failure, theft, etc) that they don't advertise/tell you about, until you go begging them. so, hopefully, you might have a third computer install/registration available, too.
Thanks gentlemen. I'm going to try to have a macbook by the holidays. I have a few jobs coming up on location that I will need if for and I'm tired of renting the damn things. Rent a laptop for a few days and you might as well spend the extra and buy one.

Yeah. The licenses, as Ed suggested, are mobile, too. Say I sell or give my old home machine away when I buy a new tower at work (as the current work tower would then come home and become my home unit)... I just have to remember to de-register the Suite on the oldest machine, and then I'm free to install and register a license on the new Mac. It's definitely workable.

Be sure to bring your new toy when we meet up... what, sometime over the next few days, yes? Keep a good eye on the roads, though - it's bound to be messy in southern Ontario over the next few days, if my Environment Canada page is anything to go by (and often enough, it ain't). I'm sure the drivers out your way can take it all in stride, it's the dolts in TO who don't know how to drive that can kill ya.
I'll be in the city monday sometime in the afternoon. I'll give you a call when I get sorted. I'm gong to leave early to take my time driving in that weather. I hate dolts. :)
